MSBTE…Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education,the autonomous authority under AICTE,which is implementing diploma courses like diploma in engineering and diploma in pharmacy.Its usually found that;many students in-spite of their regular study fails to score good marks in theory exam;what are the reasons behind it?…..and how one can score good marks in the final theory exam?…this post will focus to answer these questions.
What is most important?…the answer is to understand that; the theory papers are basically designed to assess different abilities .Generally MSBTE paper based on three things like Remember (R), Understand(U) and Apply(A) provided that it may vary from subject and branch.Now to answer all the question based on these 3 ,which is basic things that students missed…..any guess…calculations…..answer is no…English writing….again…something correct…..but most important is that to answer any questions…FUNDAMENTALS OF THE SUBJECT SHOULD BE VERY STRONG…..yes this is commonly not understood by many students,so fundamental means every thing right from unit of measurement to any Basic concepts lets take example of Force;to define, understand and apply for analysis which is most important…concepts of Newtons second law and fundamental involved are difference between mass and weight,speed,velocity and acceleration…until and unless all these things clearly understood its tough to understand what is means of force and its applications and further things.The fundamentals can be clearly developed,if students ask questions WHY…AND WHAT… .
Once the fundamentals are clearly understood,to answer the remember based question is relatively easy task;if attention is focus on on practice it would be added benefit then.To answer the understand based questions like to find the efficiency,to describe construction and working,the main thing is ;you must understand it,and the key is to identify the important point which differentiate any concept from another..or to apply maths or fundamental to it….PARTICULARLY PRACTICE…PRACTICE…PRACTICE IS IMPORTANT TO ANSWER THESE TYPE OF QUESTIONS.
Finally Application based questions….to answer these….you must understand application of any particular concept and have ability to apply what you have understood AGAIN……..PRACTICE…PRACTICE…PRACTICE IS IMPORTANT TO ANSWER THESE TYPE OF QUESTIONS.
now once all these things are clear next important thing is to have enough practice to do calculations with speed and accuracy.To write sentence in good English is important and for this again i would like to suggest to make fundamental very clear of English language like Tenses,vocabulary etc.To read daily at least half hour english newspaper online or Printed is also good to improve english.
Time management is very important while attempting the questions,to have best time management,student must GO THROUGH MODEL ANSWER OF PARTICULAR SUBJECT…AND ALL THE MODEL ANSWERS ARE AVAILABLE ON MSBTE WEBSITE…to download follow the following steps;

Student must study at least 4 model answer and 4 previous year question paper to understand;what kind of question may asked on any topic,to study ,good references books,online videos from you-tube..NPTEL..also helps a lot.
