Good Morning Friends,
Today we will discuss about general thins associated with the research.Basically the word research is composed of two syllables, “re” and “search” re is a prefix meaning again, a new or over again search is a verb meaning to examine closely ,carefully, to test and try. Together they form a noun describing a careful, systematic, patient study and Investigation in some field of knowledge, undertaken to establish facts or principles. Research is a structured inquiry that utilizes acceptable scientific methodology to solve problems and create new knowledge that is generally applicable. Scientific methods consist of systematic observation, classification and interpretation of data.
Method is the series of the steps taken to complete the particular task to achieve the certain objective while methodology is the comparative study of different approaches or one can say it is study of methods involving in some fields.
2.1 Classical Phase of the research consists of following step.
1)Research Question or Research Problem-It focus on What you are interested in? and What you want to know about?
2)Observation & Background-It means make the observations and gather the background with the help of literature survey or review.Literature review is the integral part of the research process which makes the valuable contribution in formulation of the further steps of the research.
3)Developing the objectives-Objective ate the goals after the particular research. it also includes “Hypothesis Formulation” which is an educated guess.
4)Preparing the research Design-it is the conceptual structure within which the research would be conducted.Its focus on,How you are going to test your hypothesis? What test are going to answer your question?
5)Collect data by testing Hypothesis-it focuses on testing the hypothesis by conducting the experiments and collecting the data from it.
6)Process, Interpret the data &Analyze results– It focus on what your results tells you.Does they prove or disprove your hypothesis?
7)Preparation of the report & publish the findings– it is the last step which inform world what you have done,conclusions drawn from your findings.Work done by the researcher get known to world by research papers presented in the conferences or published in the journals.
